Sniper Skin is a custom fit grip that replaces your need for hockey tape. Our hockey grips are lightweight, and easy to install. Customize the look and feel of your grip, then install it in seconds with boiling water or a heat gun.

All hockey grip orders include a rubber top ring and foam tape to customize your grip profile. Our hockey grips also have extra tack to ensure a great grip while stick handling and increase product durability.

Patented, engineered and made in Canada

* Fits most youth, junior, intermediate, senior and goalie hockey sticks

** Hockey stick not included

Fits most youth, junior, intermediate, senior and goalie hockey sticks.

Hockey Grips are 7.5" (190mm) long, and 1/64" (1mm) thick. Package includes 1 top ring & foam tape (1/8" or 3.0mm thick).

Goalie Top Grips are 11" (290mm) long, and 1/64" (1mm) thick. Package includes 2 top rings.

Goalie Paddle Grips are 7.5" (190mm) long, and 1/64" (1mm) thick. Package includes 1 trigger ring.

Can be installed over existing tape.

Waterproof.

Locks in place.

Tack can be restored when faded with grip spray such as Rawlings 5150 or similar products.

The installation process requires 212°F (100°C) boiling water, or a heat gun to ensure correct fit. High elevation areas must use a heat gun.

Check out our installation tutorial

STEP 1: CUSTOMIZE THE GRIP

  • Use the rings & foam tape to create your custom grip feel
  • Only install foam tape & rings in the first 5”/13cm of the shaft
  • Test the grip feel with gloves on

STEP 2: POSITION ON SHAFT

  • Slide the sleeve onto the stick
  • Holes must be below the top ring or foam tape knob
  • Align the logo/text as desired

STEP 3: FORM GRIP

Use at least a 1.5L electric kettle (water must be rapidly boiling with a temperature above 100°C/212°F) or a 1500W heat gun.

Boiling Water

  • With your non-pouring hand holding the middle of the stick, position the grip pointing down and into a sink.
  • As soon as the water has boiled, pour water into the sleeve and watch the Sniper Skin shrink!
  • Continue pouring water until the kettle/pot is empty.
  • Cool off with cold water
  • Using sharp scissors, trim off the extra extra material

Heat Gun

  • Stand the stick upright and begin rotating the stick
  • Hold the gun 6in from the Sniper Skin
  • Starting at the bottom of the grip, apply heat until the entire base has shrunk tightly
  • Continue rotating the grip and slowly move the heat up towards the handle.
  • Be careful not to overheat/melt the grip
  • Using sharp scissors, trim off the extra extra material

Our team ran a fundraiser this year through Sniper Skin and they were a HUGE hit!!! The kids, parents and our team were so happy with the results. Orders came in quickly and accurately, fundraising money was easily distributed and so many parents were pleased that many ordered a second time! Thank you for a great product and wonderful experience.

We ordered about 20 Grips for our Hockey Team. Customer Service went above and beyond to ensure we had exactly what we needed. Even did a few rush jobs for us last minute - with quick turn around. We are so impressed with the quality of product.

Will be recommending them to everyone we know for all the sporting grip needs!

I received a custom grip for Christmas to go on my new Hockey stick. It matches some of my other team mates grips. I am happy it has my name and my number on it. I like the way it feels and can't wait to try it out on the ice. I will get a new grip every time I get a new stick now. Thank you Sniper Skins.

My son loves his new Sniper Skin hockey grip. He had fun coming up with a custom design himself. He chose to include his name and team logo.
